In 2008, I was a proud member of Acupuncture Relief Project's community health clinic in Chapagoan, Nepal. Our team of four treated hundreds of patients in less than optimal conditions. Since we were able to operate at a fraction of the cost of traditional medical models, our clinic provided basic healthcare and produced dramatic results, especially in the areas of chronic pain, paralysis and gastrointestinal disorders. During this first visit to Champagoan, we administered over 6,000 acupuncture treatments to over 1,400 patients.
